Sintija Kučić
Sintija Kučić was born in Rijeka on April 15, 1992. She began her dance training in the dance group Porto Ri but has also educated through various dance seminars and courses of hip hop, break dance and related urban dances, jazz dance, classical ballet, contemporary dance, improvisation and experimental. In addition to dance she expands her knowledge in related activities such as parkour and freerunning, capoeira, acrobatics and body balance. In 2013 she enrolled a Bachelor program for contemporary dance at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb, where as a student, dancer and choreographer she participates in various projects some of which are „Hunting family2“ by Francesco Scavetta, „Sunset Sorell“ by Jean Claude Gallotta transmitted by Silvia Bidegain, „Cadenza per 6“ by Nastasja Štefanić and „Students of images“ by Matija Ferlin.
While studying she works as a dance teacher and takes part in the three-month program of structured practice for dancers of contemporary dance, where she attends additional classes of ballet, contemporary dance and partnering. The program ended with a performance „IGOWEGOYOU“ choreographeed by Thierry Smits.
After earning her degree in contemporary dance – performance specialization in 2016, she continues with professional work and in 2017 becomes a member of Zagreb Dance Company. In 2019 she became a member of Croatian Freelance Artists’ Association. Sintija leaves the Company in June 2022.
