Petra Valentić

Petra Valentić (Zagreb) graduated from School of Contemporary Dance Ana Maletić and School of Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb she moved to the Netherlands where she continued her dance education at the Rotterdam Dance Academy CODARTS where she graduated in 2009. In CODARTS she got the chance to collaborate and learn from many different artists and pedagogues such as Anouk van Dijk, Jack Gallagher, Krisztina de Chatel,  and in the ensamble Meekres Uitgesproken Dans. As a choreographer she introduced herself with "Zabawne Zabawki do Zabawy", made in collaboration with fellow students from CODARTS at the 26th Dance Week festival in Zagreb in 2009 and with "Syren" at the Croatian Dance Platform of young choreographers in 2010. Between 2011 and 2013 she works between Zagreb and Berlin. She became a member of ZPA in 2012. In 2014. she was nominated for Best female dancer from Croatian Performing Arts Association Awards, for a role in “Anything“ (Daniel Abreu, 2013.). In 2022. Petra was awarded with the same prize for the role in "Revel Revel" (Roser Espinosa Lopez, 2020). Since 2016. she is engaged in the production work for the company as an production assistant (performances, events). In 2017. she became president of The Association of Professional Dance Artists "PULS" (UPPU "PULS")In the season 2020/2021 she takes over the position or Artistic director of Zagreb Dance Centre. In the same year she starts her choreographic work and colaboration with petr Chelfi. In 2022. she continues her work in the ZPA company as rehearsal director, producer and artistic co-director. In 2022. her presidency in Association of professional dance artists PULS also renews. 

 

Petra Glad Mažar

Born in Zagreb in 1985. Petra was involved in arts since early age; she was a member of theatre groups, took piano lessons etc. She studied Design at the Faculty of Textile Technology in Zagreb and later she finished her studies at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb where she finished her BA of Production in theatre and film, and MA in Production of Performing Arts. Her professional experience as producer and cultural manager grows since 2006. when she started to create and engage in the projects in the independent culture scene of Zagreb; she collaborated with theatre directors as M. Kurspahić, D. Harjaček, R. Žulj, H. Petković, R. C. Gatica etc. Her professional experience includes working as an operative producer in &TD theatre in Zagreb (2008/2009), developing and realization of several editions of the project Dramaturgical Studio & Little night readings (2009-2014) together with Croatian dramaturges J.Žmak and G.Ferčec, being the artistic director of theatre organization KUFER (2012-2017) where she collaborated with dramaturge V.Klepica and many profesionalss from the theatre arts in Croatia. Her professional connection to dance started in 2007. when she joined the production team of Dance & Non-verbal Theatre Festival San Vincenti. In 2009. she became assistant producer of Zagreb Dance Company. In 2011. she became the main producer of Zagreb Dance Company with all of its projects including the mentioned festival and the newly established Mediterranean Dance Center. From 2014. she is also the artistic director of Zagreb Dance Company; devising the program and managing the production and distribution with national and international partners.

 

Sara Ivanović

After graduating from high school, she enrolled in communication studies (majoring in Media) and obtained a master's in museology and heritage management at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. During her studies, she participated in several Erasmus+ projects that aimed to promote dance, performing arts, photography, and journalism. Her career began with working in art galleries, organizing musical events and festivals, and on the radio. In 2020, she shifted her focus to marketing and agency work, driven by her keen interest in new media and social networks. As part of her work, she collaborated with various local and foreign companies to create content. In her free time, she developed the flea market Dronjak project, which promotes sustainability and provides a platform for local artists and artisans. In 2023, she joined the ZPA production team to channel her marketing knowledge and organizational skills towards the cultural sector. She aims to bring dance art closer to the audience and enrich the dance landscape..
